All customers under age 18 must bring their legal parent / guardian.

The minor’s ORIGINAL birth certificate is required.
Last names for the parent and child must match as printed on the birth certificate.
Documents need to be original physical versions (no phone pics / email / scans).
Legal documents and/or court-issued guardianship documents (where applicable) are required for name / guardianship changes.
The parent / guardian who completes the waiver should be the same person that accompanies the minor to their appointment.

Age 8 – 13? We only offer earlobe piercings.
Age 14 – 17? We only offer earlobe, ear cartilage, nasal, facial, and navel piercings.
Age 18+? All body piercings are offered.

All customers must bring a non-expired photo ID. We will accept a driver’s license, non-driver’s license, state / military ID, or passport.
All customers must sign a waiver to receive a piercing. Waivers are available at the shop.
NO. This is a piercing-gun free establishment and we don’t condone their use for body piercings (per the Association of Professional Piercers). Please click this link to view an in-depth, detailed explanation as to why piercing guns are unsafe.
Piercing guns are unable to be completely sterilized, as they can not be put through sterilizing machines such as an autoclave or statim. They are made of plastic and the high heat and pressure of these machines would essentially destroy the piercing gun. Piercing guns are often reused on clients, leading to dangerous direct exposure of bodily fluids and blood from prior clients.
Piercing guns can cause tissue damage and prolonged healing due to the blunt force of piercing with the jewelry itself. In addition, the materials of the jewelry used are not certified by the FDA or ASTM, leading to, in many cases, allergic reactions and sensitivities.
Spider-Bite Body Piercing only uses single-use disposable sterile needles specifically designed for body piercing. These needles are made for creating a clean incision leading to a quicker healing process, minimal discomfort and trauma, and overall reduces the chance of complications and infections.
With incredible attention to sterilization and client comfort, you can be sure that you and/or your child will have a great experience while in our shop.
YES. It is extremely important that you inform your piercer if you experience any of the following health ailments (allergies, skin sensitivities, irritations, prone to faintness, diabetes, epilepsy, heart condition, or any type of communicable disease).
If you have been sick recently or have a weakened immune system, it is highly recommended that you wait until you have fully fought off the cold or check with your physician before getting a piercing.
If you are having issues with a piercing (even if you didn’t get it from us), please visit our shop. Our piercers will be able to look at your piercing and make an appropriate plan to get your healing back on track.
YES. All individuals receiving a body piercing should eat a full meal at least 4 hours prior to the procedure.
Failure to do so can result in low blood sugar levels and increases the frequent risk of becoming dizzy, nauseous, and faintness. Although the piercing may not cause intolerable pain, these symptoms can occur and result in a prolonged recovery due to the lack of the individual’s blood sugar.
These risks can easily be avoided and prevented. We highly encourage honesty as well as your understanding as this can compromise your safety as well as that of the piercer and anyone else involved.

NO. Cell phones and cameras are not allowed in the room during the procedure. We ask for you to respect our artist’s space and privacy.

YES. All piercings are done with implant grade titanium or 14K / 18K Gold (yellow, white, or rose).
Quality body jewelry appropriate for initial piercings have specific designations that represent a precise standard for the alloy and its quality as determined by the American (now International) Society for Testing and Materials Standard (ASTM) and/ or the International Standards Organization (ISO).
We use implant-grade certified titanium (Ti6Al4V ELI) that is ASTM F-136 compliant, ASTM F1295, ISO 5832-3 compliant, or commercially pure titanium that is ASTM F-67 compliant.
We use gold (yellow , rose, or white) which is appropriate for initial piercings if it is 14K or higher, nickel- and cadmium-free, and alloyed for biocompatibility. Gold plated, gold-filled, or gold overlay jewelry is not acceptable for fresh piercings.
Glass retainers and glass plugs are fused quartz glass, lead-free borosilicate, and lead-free soda-lime glass and considered safe for initial piercings. They can also be sterilized in an autoclave.
We use Swarovski and lab grown crystals and opals, genuine gems, and diamonds.
Our jewelry is internally threaded and/or threadless and our materials are all bio-compatible.
Our shop has a large selection of titanium, various organics, glass, gold, and silicone.
POSSIBLY. Only the minor getting pierced and the accompanying parent / guardian can enter the piercing room.
If additional children accompany you to the shop, you must bring another adult to supervise them.
Our staff cannot supervise unattended minors.
NO. We will not pierce you with jewelry that we can not verify the quality of material or does not meet the required standards for the health and safety of our clients.
For your safety, we will only pierce with, or install jewelry that comes from our studio. With jewelry from an outside source, there is no way for us to verify that it is made of safe and appropriate materials.
We only use jewelry made of ASTM-certified materials for all piercings.
Jewelry must also be the appropriate gauge and size for your new piercing, and this will be verified and determined by the piercer.
NO. We reserve the right to refuse any piercing (at any time and for any reason that we feel is justified).
